IRISCC

Overarching mission of IRISCC is to empower society to understand, predict and build resilience to climate change risks through innovative services provided by the research infrastructure in the environmental domain. This shall be achieved by the provision of various types of (scientific and knowledge) services, that is, as a “one-stop shop” for researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders engaged in climate change risk management.

Our task is the provision of detailed trace gas data (e.g. of volatile organic compounds, CO, O₃ and many other species) in air masses affected by biomass burning events observed during IAGOS-CARIBIC flights.
