Performance Verification

Each EM27/SUN spectrometer is checked and calibrated with respect to the TCCON spectrometer in Karlsruhe before delivery to the end users. This service is offered by KIT without additional cost, if requested by the user. The QC/QA includes a general check of the instrumental performance, e.g. correct optical alignment, laboratory open-path measurements for the determination of the instrumental line shape (ILS) parameters, and finally side-by-side measurements of atmospheric spectra along with the high resolution spectrometer Bruker IF125HR for the determination of residual instrument-specific calibration factors for each species.
