SPARC Atmospheric Composition and the Asian Monsoon (ACAM) is an international working group. Scientifically, the initiative focuses on four themes, each representing a key aspect of the connection between atmospheric composition and Asian monsoon dynamics:
- Emissions and air quality in the Asian monsoon region;
- Aerosols, clouds, and their interactions with the Asian monsoon;
- Impact of monsoon convection on chemistry;
- UTLS Response to the Asian Monsoon.
Contribution of IMK-ASF: Provide observational data of the chemical composition in and around the Asian summer monsoon in UTLS from MIPAS/Envisat and contribute to related studies; G. Stiller is co-lead of working group 1 on Observations and Data Sharing.
