The Gravity Wave Life Cycle Experiment studies dynamical coupling processes by gravity waves from the troposphere into the mesosphere and aims at improving gravity wave parameterizations for use in climate models. GW-LCYCLE is a coordinated initiative of German research institutions in close collaboration with the DFG research group „Multiscale Dynamics of Gravity Waves” (MS-GWAVES).
