Research Interests
My research topics are focused in remote sensing techniques in the thermal infrared (TIR) domain. Currently, I am working on validation of Land Surface Temperature (LST) derived from satellite data and the modelling of annual and diurnal surface temperature cycle. During my PhD, I studied the characterization in the TIR domain of the land surface emissivity and its modelling. Further topics of interest are the atmospheric characterization in the TIR domain, the LST and Surface Air Temperature (SAT) relationship and the surface urban heat island (SUHI) effect.
